However, we decided to create a table that would enable us to find all the closed major airports to each national park easily during the planning stage of our road trips.
Notes on the table
- Straight-line calculations were used to calculate the “nearest airport”. The driving directions used for this analysis were not actual.
- As you can see from the table above, there are hundreds of airports that were left out of this ranking.
The focus here is only on airports that are considered to be “Large” or “International”.
